The transition to the Circular Economy requires a system change, a rethinking from linear processes to circular products and product-service systems. In 2015, the United Nations agreed to achieve a total of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The goal is to ensure sustainable development on an economic, social and ecological level. The Circular Economy approach addresses SDG 12 in particular in the context of product and service development. The responsibility to implement these goals lies equally with designers and manufacturers, as this alliance has a decisive influence on the implementation of the Circular Economy approach. Building on extensive experience and continuous scientific transfer, IFID offers them a sustainable partnership.
